Scripture: “Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Anxiety is one of those silent storms. It swirls beneath the surface—racing thoughts, a tight chest, the endless “what ifs” that rob us of sleep and joy. For many of us, anxiety isn't just a fleeting moment—it’s a daily battle.
But here’s the comfort: God doesn’t tell you to pretend it’s not there. He doesn’t ask you to be strong on your own. Instead, He offers you a sacred exchange: your anxiety for His care.
To “cast” your anxiety means to hurl it, to throw it off—like a heavy garment that no longer fits. That’s not always easy, especially if you’re used to carrying everything alone. But God’s arms are strong enough. And His heart? Tender enough to want every anxious thought that weighs on you.
Today, pause. Close your eyes. And say aloud, “Lord, this is what’s worrying me…” Then release it. Trust that He hears, and He holds.
Prayer:
Father, my anxiety has been weighing me down. Today I choose to hand it over to You. Thank You for caring for me, even when I feel overwhelmed. Help me walk in peace instead of panic. In Jesus’ name, amen.
